Hello! Join me as I share my long journey to architecture with you:
After several years in technology and management consulting,
I pursued a Master of Architecture and graduated from Georgia Tech May 2019. I am currently a Design Applications Technician at the Washington DC office of Perkins and Will.
As a software licensing analyst at Flexera Software, I collaborated digitally with global teams located in Bangalore, India and Melbourne, Australia. I quickly became a subject matter expert in the areas of Adobe and Oracle software licensing.
As a technology and management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, I became versed in all aspects of project management including risk management, records management including audit response, as well as client and vendor management. I am a driven person accustomed to quickly getting up to speed in new areas and collaborating with diverse teams across various communication mediums.
As an undergraduate student studying information technology I worked as a computer lab aide teaching computer skills to elementary school students. I used the program ALICE to teach children programming fundamentals through gaming.
In my studio coursework, I have explored the impact of virtual reality and immersive interactive digital environments on architecture and the built environment. The intersection of design and technology is my passion, and where I intend to focus my career.
I worked as a freelance interior design and real estate photographer with work published in many magazines including Washingtonian Magazine, Food Network Magazine, and Country Living Magazine.
As a technology and management consultant I worked on business development activities including proposal work. I worked with subcontractors, vendors and consultants on large software projects. I facilitated weekly project management and risk management meetings. I held a Top Secret Clearance at the time.
Web Administration and Design
As a graduate assistant for the school of architecture I was responsible for web development and administration. I maintained and updated the school website using html/css.
Software Licensing Analyst
As a software licensing analyst, I am versed in Adobe Licensing, having designed solutions to employ license optimization techniques.
Help Desk Support
I worked as a help desk technician where I developed customer support skills and provided one-on-one training in new software programs to employees. I also performed on-boarding for new employees and became versed in asset management.
